Does anyone know anything about the start up culture at Georgia Tech? I mean, with some hopes that I will meet some great co-founders or otherwise friends whom are interested in starting businesses just as much as I am. Does the faculty provide any support for student managed companies outside of the college for management?

Great question.

has info on what you seek.

The culture on this is shifting rapidly. GT students have had some great successes: the Varsity (world’s largest drive-in) and ISS (Chris Klaus’s effort, which he sold to IBM) are the first two to come to mind.

GT is putting pieces in place quickly to encourage and foster this.

There’s also the BPC: [Georgia Tech - College of Management | Business Plan Competition](http://mgt.gatech.edu/fac_research/centers_initiatives/bpc/index.html)

Several BPC competitors in the last few years went on to develop their plans into multimillion dollar companies. Also, one group was a finalist on American Inventor (Season 2 - the Claw): [American Inventor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](American Inventor - Wikipedia)
