I am a 27 year old junior going on my senior year of college. I am majoring in sociology and I have recently decided to try to see if I can gain entry into some sort of internship program or job related to my major. I am thinking about volunteering or trying to find a job as a teachers aid at a local elementary school. At this point, any sort of relevant experience would be good. I feel as if I am a little too old to start a career; all of my work experience has been low paying jobs that almost anyone can do. When I look at my resume I feel that I have done nothing relevant in my life that has lead me towards my career goals. What are some of the things that you suggest that I do to beef up my resume?
