Starting a club at school

I have a great idea for a club at school that I would like to start. The trouble is, I am kind of apprehensive of doing so. First, at our school, only the popular people start the clubs, because they have the respect and circle of friends necessary to be able to get a club off the ground. Since they have a lot of friends, it is no problem for them to be able to successfully gain members.

I'm not popular, and I don't have a large circle of friends to help me out, and I'm not sure how much respect I command enough to get people to join and listen to me.

Even if I do get a large number of people joining, I'm afraid that I lack the reputation and credibility to be able to successfully manage everyone.

What should I do?

Tall Short Alliance

fake it till you make it ,
but seriously if you look like you’re in charge people will actually listen to you

It will work, just don’t worry about it.

I made a club with my friend after school and we got over 300 kids to stop in the first day, that’s about 1/5 of the school.

The club was called the Milk and Cookies club, and the point was to socialize with new people and stuff, but everyone knows we just did it for an excuse to eat. :D

Just make a club that appeals to a wide variety of people.

go ahead and make it.
if you can sell your ideas well, you could easily get the club off to a good start :]
