Ok, I can work a year and get thousands of articles edited. Two more questions:

1.) When you edit an articles, does the article mention it was edited by you? If not, how can you keep track of how many articles you've edited?

2.) How long is the voting period?

Thanks.

1) Yes. Look at any article and click the "history" tab.

2) One week.

Thanks alot bro :)

I got a blog thats filled with humor... Is it appropriatre to send the link, so they can get an idea of my personality...
Its wacky humor.. but i got 4000 views in < 2 months.. so its catching...

http://alphaandtheomega.blogspot.com/

Will it be looked at.. or is it barking up the wrong tree

It doesn't look that interesting to me, but perhaps I'm the wrong tree. I think the only authoritative answer to your question would be an adcom, but my unauthoritative opinion is that your blog has a surprising lack of written content.

it does.. its a blog of humor... read down.. some good ones (I think so tho)

nemore replies??

And thanks johnleemk

Well, I read everything on the main page and browsed the comments too. I don't see much to distinguish it from other blogs, however.

Is "Developer" the highest ranking position in Wikipedia? Is "Steward" the second highest ranking? thanks

If I'm not mistaken, that is correct. You have to be extremely proficient in PHP and SQL to become a developer, however.

How about for "Steward?"

Again, you need a lot of edits and reputation to qualify.

Do I need any knowledge in PHP and SQL? I am willing to work on my gap year on Wikipedia, 8 hours per day. This looks promising.

Not for stewardship. I should warn you that there are very few bureaucrats and even fewer stewards, so you shouldn't get your hopes up about them.

It doesnt matter, actually. My goal is becoming an Administrator, which I am positive I can get working a year,8 hours per day. Thanks for all the information and the ideas. btw, where are you applying to? Are you a junior?

I won't be applying until next year, but I'm quite confident I'll be applying to Princeton, the U of Chicago, Dartmouth and Swarthmore. Good luck with your application(s).
