Starting a Science Club

Last November, my school received $2000 from the Siemens Foundation since I and a partner made it to the regional finalist level. I want to use this money to start a Science Research Club where people can come discuss ideas and hopefully be paired with mentors. By now, my former partner and I have between us approximately 5 contacts at a local university, so students wanting mentors could probably get them. Does anyone have any ideas for a creative name for this club, and any tips about how to run it? I have never heard of anything like this before, but some schools near mine have research classes, where all you do all year is create a project to take to the local science fair. For one, I am determined to make sure this club doesn't turn into a "office-grabbing" club, where we have positions like historian and secretary that are basically useless just so kids can put it on their resumes. Any other ideas? Thanks.
