<p>Does starting a very successful business improve college admissions? The business I started gives me an income higher than the average income coming out of an Ivy League school and will continue to grow.<br>

<p>Sure, but get someone else to write your essay.</p>

<p>It might (it'll count as good EC) but your SAT and GPA will still count. But that's a great EC so i think it'll give you a good chacne.</p>

<p>i run my own online business too, during my gap year. i think it helps.</p>

<p>I essentially manage money. I invest for people and take a percent of the upside and assets. So far this year I am up 18%. Last year I did 40.5%.</p>
