Would med schools look down on me if I start at a community college and transfer to a university after a couple years?

A semester or two wouldn’t hurt.

Pulp Fiction is a great movie.

No, it wouldn’t. There are many medical school students that have started out at community college. Your MCAT score, if you score well, will take any doubt that those adcoms might have away.

I suggest you visit the many, many, forums on this on studentdoctor.com.

The only situation where I wouldn’t do CC, is if you’re already at a university and you’re take courses there over the summer, because then med schools will you just did it because it was easier.

But like I said, the MCAT is the big cheese.

Nope - in NC you can right to C Hill after 2 years at CC if you do the work and get the grades. Friend of my S saved tones of $ by doing the CC thing and now has a full ride at CH.

Our CC has an articulation with Cornell for over 20 science majors. If you finish your Associate’s degree with at least a 3.0, and have taken the required courses, you get in to Cornell as a transfer. You then can take the MCAT’s and finish your degree at Cornell. Great deal!
