Starting College Search!!!!

hey guys im only a sophmore but my principal stresses the importance of knowing what you want to do and where you want to go, and so here i am. i want to go to an ivy league school and im pretty sure i hav a decent chance of getting in(URM status....allstate athelete.....good grades...test scores...etc..) however i wanted to know what was right for me....i want to do something with computers....specifically computer art( animation graphic design...stuff like that).....and i wanted to know if yo guys could tell me which ivy league schools have good programs like that????.....thanx in advance

Do your research. You have plenty of time to figure out things like this (and sentence structure for that matter). Some of the Ivy's don't even look at freshman year so you having good grades while having done one semester of 10th grade will not carry you! If you have good EC's keep that up and of course keep your grades up. It sounds like you don't know much about the Ivy league which makes me wonder why you want to go. You seem to be saying you want to go Ivy but then you are asking us to give you reasons why you should go. I'd personally go to Stanford for most things computer related then any of the Ivy league schools. It is good to know what you want but keep an open mind. I have been into computers my entire life - in 10th grade I would have told you I wanted to be a Political Science major. In 11th I decided I'd start out in engineering...

With that said check out UPenn and Brown. I say Brown just because I emailed a prof there about computer science back in 10th grade or so before the summer and got a very good response. I kinda wish I applied there now thinking about it..
