I got admitted to KU and the honors program a couple weeks ago. I recently got an email from the office of admissions saying that I could start selecting my housing without yet committing to KU, so that I could hold my spot if I do decide to go. It involves signing a contract, so I don’t want to rush into it it it’s not necessary. I would most likely want to be in the honors dorm, so do spaces usually run out before decision day (May 1)?
You are encouraged to sign the contract even if you don’t know if you are going. To my knowledge, you will not be able to select a room on campus in the Spring if you do not. Basically, there’s no disadvantage of signing it, it’s just something you have to do.
