I’m starting college at UofH in the Spring and was wondering if I would still get to live the freshman experience Even though I’m starting late. My plan is to get into UofH then transfer to the Engineering school my sophomore year.

I’m sure you are thinking “What if everyone has already formed up into cliques and doesn’t want to make any new friends?”
To that I say: bollocks!
The social world in college is very different from high school. People definitely have best friends and inner circles and cliques, but the whole structure is porous and ever-evolving. At the typical high school you could make a graph of the social networks, leave for 5 months, and return to find the majority of it unchanged. The same exercise on a college campus would involve redrawing the entire graph.
There was not a month that went by in my original college years when I did not make fast friends with someone new. And I was pretty introverted then.
Relax, and trust that you will connect with people. You’re gonna have a great time!
