Ok, i felt confident when i submitted my app and portfolio but now i have some doubts about getting in or not. I know there is no point in freaking out because i cannot do anything about it now but do people with my stats get in? Also, since i wrote a six page scene instead of submitting a 10 min. short film, will it hurt my chances? I just did a six page story since writing is more of my thing. Also i feel like not having much experience will kill my chances? I just do as much as i can where i live since there are not many film activities but i feel like an extremely weak candidate. I also tried to be super creative with my essays but...i don't know....ugh. Anyone want to cheer me up? lol

Are you ED?
From what I got, you’re applying to film, right? If yes we’re competition! =D
My SAT is a bit better than your’s (2040), but my resume has nothing solid and I’m not too confident about my portfolio.

No. It doesn’t make a difference whether you write a portfolio or film one–what NYU looks for is creativity and vision rather than experience. You are going to school to gain that technical experience, so what would be the point of looking only for those few privileged students who have film equipment of their own and have been able to shoot and edit film for years?

Most of the film majors I’ve met applied to Tisch production with no knowledge of filmmaking beyond a couple of home movies they shot with their friends in the backyard.

Sorry to say man, but i think your doubts are well-founded. Keep in mind that Tisch film production is one of the most competitive programs in the nation. Your experience really isnt as much of an issue as your regular application. Tisch wants academically competitive applicants, and that is about half of the application. A typical NYU student has an SAT score of 1300-1500 out of 1600, and im worried about my weighted GPA of about 3.8 (because of what might happen when it get unweighted). Your Tisch portfolio is probably great, as a good screenplay is just as good as a good film, but thats just half the battle. Good luck with the application!
