<p>How, exactly, does your application file get started at a specific college/university? Does it get started with whatever part of your application that is sent in first (teacher eval, SAT scores, etc.)? Or, if the school uses the Common App and has its own supplement, does that need to be sent in first to start your file?</p>
<p>im interested to know too. i know some schools only open your file officially when you submit the form, then those that arrived before that will find their way into your file.</p>
<p>at most of the colleges im applying to, app files are started with whatever gets to them first. now some colleges use a part 1 part 2 app. the part 1 is just general info and is sent in during summer or early fall. that starts the app file.</p>
<p>schools officially open the file when the deadline has passed and everything is in it.</p>
