<p>Im a poli sci major and im taking math 227(statistics) at pierce college but for ucla they want stat1, will i have to retake the course in the summer since according to asisst the major has stat1 as a pre-req?</p>

<p>^ hey there! i go to pierce as well ^^ im also a poli sci major as well. you should take stats 1 with perser (recommended) or with lim NOT math 227. stats 1 is more for the social science and math 227 requires more math and u dont need it for poli sci. i applied for UCLA and they want stats 1. Since you are already taking it, you would have to take stats 1 anyway regardless as a pre-req. Is there anyway to drop or anything? are u taking it for winter session? theres really no point of taking that class cus it doenst count for your pre-req.
