Stat 101

I am really worried about this course. I've heard from a lot of people that this course is pretty confusing and quite difficult. How bad is this really? I actually took AP Stats in High school but didn't bother taking the test due to senioritist. Now I really regret it.

What is the curve for this class? I signed up to Rakhlin (who is apparently new) so I have no idea how it will be. Can students who have taken this class share their thoughts. Is it really hard to get an A?

I took Stat 101 2nd semester and didn’t think it was too bad of a course. Just make sure to stay up to date on the material by following the readings. I’d also recommend working with friends on the homeworks, and going to stat lab if you have any questions or concerns with what’s being covered in class. I had never taken a stat class prior to 101 and found it much more manageable than OPIM and BPUB. Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be fine.

I’m pretty sure the grade distribution was 30% As, 40% Bs, and 30% Cs, which is pretty typical for Wharton classes.
