Stat 20 or Math 16A

<p>I am done with my phase I and want to pick either one of the listed course in Phase II and wanna look for some advice.</p>

<p>I am not going to major in engineering, physics, chemistry etc, so I am considering Math 16a over 1a. Due to some schedule issue I prefer Stat 20 over 02.</p>

<p>For Math 16A:
I learned little about calculus in high school. So I assume it would be important to learn some calculus right away in first semester (by taking 16A). I guess I will need to use the knowledge in my other classes. Am I right? </p>

<p>For Stat 20:</p>

<p>Better scheduling... don't need to wake up really early in the morning for Math...
More useful for a possible social science major.</p>

<p>*But it has a prereq: one semester of Calc... I learned from CC that the course itself have nothing to do with Calc. If really so, by how can I be enrolled?</p>

<p>What is your major?</p>

<p>If Math 16A isn’t a requirement for your prospective major, it probably won’t be as useful as you think. You can sign up for Stat 20 like any other class through Telebears, there are no restrictions based on prereq completion.</p>
