Stat of the Day

'Bama’s O-line outweighs Michigan’s D-line by about 50 pounds per man.

Ooh, that’s gonna hurt! Roll Tide!!

(Only 10 days to go!!)

Roll Tide!!!

Roll (over them) Tide!!!

BAMA so needs to win this game. Being from Michigan, people still look at my son cross-eyed when he tells them he is going to Alabama - and not U of M (a school my son didn’t like and didn’t apply to). Would really love to see Michigan get creamed…and I am not ashamed to say it.

^^^Music to my ears, RTRMom2. The weasels will be road kill before all is said and done, and thereby prove to a national TV audience that everyone bleeds crimson, whether or not they’re willing to admit it. :)

Roll Tide!

My wife and I will be attending the game here in Dallas and will we have staying with us for the weekend, the parents of one our son’s fraternity brothers from Florida. The dad is a Bama Alum and a member of the same fraternity that the boys are in…

They are still sellin a few standing room only seats, but basically this game has been sold out for a while…should be 104,000 ish for the game which is amazing for a game played this far away from each of the schools. Will be interesting to see how much crimson is in the house…!

Nice stat on the weight delta of our O- line vs. their D-line…“get in me belly”…!!

Son and I will be there too, bleeding crimson.

Hey, Malanai! A ‘stat of the day’ implies there will be another stat the next day…

just sayin’

^^^Whoa, that’s a lot of pressure, lol. OK, here goes: Michigan QB Denard Robinson threw an interception every 17.2 throws last season. That was the third-worst rate in the country. When Robinson played against a top 20 defense last year (which happened 4 times) the total offense he produced (passing yards plus rushing yards) was, on average, 100 yards LESS per game than when he faced softer defenses.

The Tide can play a little D, dontcha think? :)

I’m beginning to salivate. RTR!

Part of the joke here is that I NEVER followed ANY FB until son attended Bama - and NOW I EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU’RE SAYING!

THANK YOU! Poor Denard. Hope the Tide doesn’t relax tooooo much.

Upshaw had his first NFL sack in a preseason game last night. It was nice!

Roll Tide!

Another day, another factoid: Michigan running back Fitzgerald Toussaint—who rushed for more than 1,000 yards last season—was suspended after his offseason arrest for a DUI, and his status for the season opener is still unclear.

Frankly, I’m unclear what’s unclear about his status since it clearly appears to be: moron. Let him play, I say. After a few hits he’ll be running under the influence.

Roll Tide!

ROTFL! Keep it coming, Malanai.

The NCAA calculates graduation success rates for student-athletes by employing a controversial formula known as GSR. Their most recent computations (2011) show Michigan football with a 71‰ GSR and Alabama with a 69% GSR. Michigan’s went down a point from 2010 and the Tide’s went up 2 points.

Below a link to some of the data, along with commentary and analysis. It shows my two alma maters, Cal and Michigan State, as leading candidates for the Hall of Shame.

And slippy, before you get too excited about LSU’s numbers, read the fine print below the SEC table. :)

Roll tide! thanks, Malanai! Didn’t want to nag :P
