Hey guys, I’m moving to Connecticut for college this fall, and I’m wondering if there’s a way I can qualify for state financial aid if I’m from another state.
Thanks!

No.
Are you coming to Yale? Previous threads said you got accepted there…is that where you are going? The school has fabulous need based aid. Did you not rcive any?
What CT state aid do you think you would be eligible for as an out of state resident? Really…the answer is $0.
State schools give discounts to state residents because their state income taxes help support the schools. Since you and your parents have not supported the schools you do not qualify for tuition reductions.
In addition, in CT you can NOT establish residency for instate tuition or aid purposes while you are attending college.
Please clarify your question. Where are you attending college? If it’s Yale, they have extremely generous need based aid. Did you not get an aid package that was affordable there?
If it’s one of the public universities, why did you select it if you need additional aid.
And what state aid are you talking about in CT?
