Anyone out there from Oregon? Anyone have a guess on how many APs I should take to have a shot at getting the State Scholar Award? I know places like Texas you need like 21, but the last I heard from Oregon was a three way tie with 9 APs in like 2006 or something. Anyone have some recent info?

I’m from Oregon, but I have no idea what the cut-off is… lol.

I would think maybe 14-16 would put you in the running?

Goodness, I’ve taken 21, but I almost certainly wont win in maryland

I think California’s winner last year was 25… I doubt 9 would suffice in any state. That would mean state would not be much harder than national scholar.

Hi, I was actually an AP State Scholar in Oregon. I took… let’s see. I think maybe 16? Bear in mind, though, that scores matter, too. It’s not just the volume of tests taken, because ties are broken on the basis of average scores.
