So the State AP Scholar is determined by the highest number of AP exams passed and then the highest average AP score.

Do they include your senior year AP scores in this? Our school announced that one of our students was an AP State Scholar before her senior year AP scores came out...

Are you sure the school didn’t mean “National AP Scholar?”

Senior year APs are counted, and the recipient almost always already graduated from high school. I guess it would be possible if he or she had 20+ APs by the end of junior year… Which state do you live in?

I was almost positive it was State AP Scholar because they discussed that she was going to Washington DC to meet the president. Unless that’s National AP Scholar?

She didn’t have that many APs before her senior year. I think she only had 7…maybe 8.

I figured it out. Apparently she won the presidential scholar award. My school definitely announced how many AP classes she had taken during this, so I assumed it was an AP based award. My bad!
