STate FBLA officer

Hi guys,

I was thinking of running for New Jersey FBLA community service vice president. Obviously, since this is a state office, theres alot of work involved, and I have to attend alot of meetings. Basically, im asking if being a state officer for a club like FBLA is worth the work (its going to be during my senior year and will definetly be alot of work)....it will also involve missing at least 2 days a month. My question is, is FBLA a nationally recognized organization, and will being a state officer really look good on my college apps? is it worth all the work and missing school makeup work that im gonna have to do?

btw this is assuming i win lol which is a pretty big assumption but i just want to know if i should bother running and working to campaign. I hope this is the right category for this thread, and that FBLA is well known enough for ppl to be able to respond.

Thanks

What does FBLA stand for?

Future Biz Leaders of America

Sounds like a big leadership position to me, and FBLA is found in most/many schools around the country. I'd say definitely go for it.

thanks...i guess ill give it a shot

try if you want, but not just for the app. because even the national officers rarely end up going to prestigious Us

so yeah
