Wisconsin’s governor has proposed cutting tuition at all UW schools. The speaker of the assembly, a member of the governor’s political party, thinks there should be increases in need-based aid, instead. I agree with the speaker in this instance.
Well also, it’s California. No offense to Kentucky but it doesn’t have consistently warm weather, an ocean,large vibrant cities innovating in tech, movies, etc.
Maybe a better comparison is to UM since Michigan doesn’t have those things either but still manages to get a lot of good OOS applicants willing to pay full freight.
