I chose 90 degrees. Again, without a picture, it’s hard to justify my answer, but I felt relatively confident at the time.

Darn, ya, I know what you mean. Looks like below a 34 for me. :(

the answer for the second to last one was 90 degrees. the arcs of those three angles formed a semicircle, and 180/2= 90

Do any other questions stick out to you guys?

Sci was really easy to start, but I had to guess on the last few because the fighting scientists one was tough.

I though eng was quite easy. I don’t remember that much about it.

Reading was pretty average. Anyone agree?

Do you remember the question from science, the fertilizer in Mississippi passage, where it was like: 10 micrograms are the functioning level. If you add 20 micrograms, after how many days will you have to add more fertilizer? you had to use the half life table. I wasn’t sure, I changed it to 30 at the last second.

^I agree, Reading was pretty easy.

I think the answer was 20 days because it started at 20 micrograms and its half-life was 20 days, so after 20 days it would be at the minimum functioning level 20/2= 10.

I agree with Keius2; I put 20.

i put 20 as well, but i’m pretty sure that answer is incorrect
i’ve been told that the correct answer is 40

Interesting… I am interested to hear the reasoning behind that. Although I put 20, I am not sure in the least.

On the science there was one question asking the possible averages something like 156, 153, 162, etc etc. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

was one of the answers for reading “animated enthusiasm?”

and for science, the year that the mississippi flooded was the the highest one on the graph right?

ya, i remember the average one. The average needed to be 160, so the answer was something like 155, 157, 159, 161, 163, 165.

@ soruli -

Yes, I put “animated enthusiasm” for that one.

There were a few questions about the Mississippi flood graphs. I’m not sure which one you’re talking about.

it asked specifically during which year the river flooded. i picked the year that had the highest result on the graph.

also, do you remember the question that asked which resistor would have more heat or something like that? because i didnt know whether a higher resistance or lower one would produce more heat. it never said.

for the flood one I think I put 1997, the one with the highest points on the graph
Uhh the resistor and heat one I guessed, the prompt didnt say anything about heat… I think I put H…

for the english one, there was that one question that underlined “befriended” and asked which wasnt a correct alternative for it? was the answer “acquainted”? it sounded awkward to me. and then for the last english passage, the last question that asked which line the new paragraph should start at, was it line 5?

Ohyea i remember that… i put aquainted

Ya, I put (not) acquainted for the English one, too.

I figured the most heat would be the least resistance. I forget what answer that is, though.

yea kellian i put the same answer

but now that i think about it, if a resistor resists the flow of electricity, then that electricity has to go somewhere, so its probably converted from electrical energy to heat energy. so the higher resistance, the higher the heat. hopefully im wrong though haha

Hey guys! Blake from Waterford, MI.

English was easy. I had 20 mins left to look it over.
Math was way harder than usual. Wow.
I smashed the reading with time left over.
Science. Meh.

Questions: Was it “marveled” or “marveled at”. I put marveled, but I have a feeling it was marveled at.

–Predictions–
English: 30
Math: 24-25
Reading: 31
Science: 25

Composite: 28

…That math section…

Dang I had 20 originally but then I changed it…oh well…
Also for the resistance one I chose the one with most heat.
