at besjbo, the answer is clearly cellular respiration, you’re right. That’s the actual definition of it.

I second Strudel19’s question. Was it marveled at?

Hey guys! I’m from Michigan as well.

I think the English and the Reading were normal. The math section was abnormally hard and the science section got a little confusing at the end.

Could someone explain how to do the math question about the two towers? (Someone posted a picture of it.) A few people at my school told me that they used similar triangles to solve it but I don’t see how that is applicable. Thanks :)

ashleigha - Someone posted how they did it earlier in this thread: basically you convert the hypotenuses of the triangles to lines and find their intersection.

I think I put “marveled at” for the english one, not sure though… do you remember the sentence it was in?

ughh I guessed on 2 of the math questions… what was the answer to the one asking about the area of the trapezoid? it was one of the last ones, I put 12.8

ilmayday, I forget the answer to the trapezoid question, do you remember any of the dimensions?

what did u guys put for the one with the parenthetical expression about pulltabs (It explained what pull tabs are).

o ya, good ?, soruli. I think I put that it was necesary because I had no idea what pull tabs were before, idk though.

I said take it out because it wasn’t relevant.

How does state act curving work? Is it curved just to those who took it in michigan?

the curve is decided before we take the test, but I think whoever took this test is on the same curve.

I took it today, and I thought it was relatively easy. English section was pretty easy, but I found the science passage with the mississippi river relatively hard, did anyone else?

Oh, and I found the passage about business in the reading section rather interesting, so I guess that helped!

That business passage was very interesting!

English question: The one about her going to school and whatnot, and the girl told her to go be a doctor and she went with her advice. Did it show Hampton’s purpose or part of her motivation? I said motivation…

Does anyone remember the Form Code of today’s test? February’s test was 69C.

It was 16U.

I said motivation ^

The essay was 16U, I believe. I think the test was 68 something.

Dang i said Hampton and I put marvled at.
Im from MI !

It will be curved based on Utah and Michigan scores I believe

kellian, no i dont remember any of the dimensions… do you remember how you solved it?

i also thought the mississippi river section was tough…all the other science passages were decent. the reading seemed easy and the math was okay except for a few problems near the end.

for the pulltab questions i said to keep it in cause it explained what pulltabs were
and i think i also said motivation

ilmayday - sorry, I don’t remember that much about it. A few people I talked to put 12.8, but I think I put 11.2. If anyone knows, please explain it.

the base always kept at 4. the heights kept decreasing by 0.8. so the two heights of the trapezoid were 3.4 and 2.4. then you do the trapezoid area formula and you get 11.2.

what was the answer to the question on the reading that asked what benefit do businesses receive by being environmentally friendly? i put it attracts investors.

i think i did too, soruli
