State residency question

I am currently a Texas resident (my whole life). If I attend undergrad in another state, for medical school application purposes will I be considered a Texas or the other state resident? Will the other state's medical school consider me a resident of their state? Will Texas medical schools still consider me a Texas resident?

I cannot speak specifically for TX but what I know of some other states is this. You still qualify for TX but they may or may not predjudice against students who leave and do undergrad in another program/state. This is really the question that you must ask/answer. I know that in interviews at other state schools it always comes up. Ask around.

What Texas will do, I'm not sure; but the other state will almost certainly not consider you a resident.

I'm pretty sure that Texas will consider you a resident and probably the med school.
