State Standards Tests

I don't know where to put this but I recently heard from teachers that the Colleges will be able to access the state standards test (in this case the ones from california) and factor those into the college decision. Now, this worries me since I have not been able to pay full attention to those tests. My question is, if you have a bad score on the state standards test, will it hurt your college admissions? Thanks.

i have also heard about this, but all my teachers told me not to worry because it is all not true, I hope they weren't lying...

I'm not sure how you could manage a low score on the state tests... Our MEAPs (MI) are a complete joke and a waste of our time.

@aphoticmelody...soo true...and the questions are so random and pointless also...im glad that michigan is replacing the meaps w/ the act next year...I mean come on...at least the questions in the act make sense...who in the world wants to compare "The Hedley Kow" and "If"...

I loved how one of the questions on the MATH test this year, for God's sake, was about which question card for customers at the restaurant would help Bob/Fred/whoever improve his performance - how was the food/atmosphere/waitstaff/etc. rolls eyes I only wish they'd implemented the switch to the ACT a year sooner...
