I mean basically what happened was I took ap psych sophomore and when we got to language acquisition and stuff I was enthralled. I was amazed about how something so simple for a child was so difficult for adults! Why can a kid learn a language so easily but a grown up have so much trouble? Then we went through theories as to why and none of them were agreed upon and so I was like “well I wanna figure this out!” so I went to a summer thing a Stanford the following summer to take courses in psychology and we talked about language and stuff. Then I decided I was going to teach myself Korean, but not a typical classroom way where you compare it to English like a dictionary; I was just gonna learn it how a kid does by listening to people. I figured out that k-pop videos have subtitles (in Korean) so I watched those and started matching the sound to the letter and eventually I could read it. But I figured out that vocabulary was really hard to do this way cause we live in an English speaking country. So I decided to live in Korea for 6 weeks so I could experience the language firsthand without comparing it to English at all times and so yeah it was all kind of a big experiment for me.
And that’s my Korean story.
Does that sound passionate enough? Hahaha

Oh dang didn’t answer the rest…
It’s really clich
