I’m applying for the President’s Scholars program and I was wondering: What kind of information should be included in the statement of purpose? Also how long should it be? And is the scholarship added on top of the need-based aid that I would already get? For example, if I was supposed to pay $10,000 a year without the scholarship, would I pay nothing if I actually won it? Thanks!
I don’t believe the merit scholarships stack. (I know some of them don’t at Mudd). I can’t answer the rest (my kid applied but did not get it, so any advice I would have probably isn’t helpful) 
Ah, ok thanks! @intparent If they don’t stack then there’s no reason for my to apply for the scholarship since I’d probably get full tuition just based on need anyways. That’ll save me some work haha.
