statfinder major

I'm trying to find the breakdown of acceptance by GPA for UCLA Econ. (I don't want average GPA or accepted people) but there is no Econ section on statfinder. I assume its part of social sciences but econ tends to have a much higher GPA than most social sciences.

So, anybody know the acceptance rate for Econ majors, that have a mid 3.7 GPA? Thanks

No clue what the average is, but here: [Profile of Admitted Transfer Students - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof.htm)

If you go there, you can see stats from 2009-2002. Click on “College of Letters and Science” and the whole thing will expand for you. I know you said you don’t want this, but this is all that’s available: you’ll be able to see avg applied gpa, avg admitted gpa, compare with business econ as well, and more.

I think it’s a pretty cool little table! I hope it’s partially what you’re looking for. It’s more detailed than Statfinder anyway.

Good luck- I’m agonizing, too!

Yea I actually have spent tons of time looking at that one already haha. But I’m wondering how the tons of 4.0s they let in boost the average.

I’ve wondered that, too! Econ’s a tough one- you’re braver than I. I went for the 44% acceptance… Poli Sci! :)

It should be at least SLIGHTLY encouraging that freshman econ’s barely have a prayer, while CCC transfers have the best shot.

haha yea, I have a 3.74. I’ve heard its like flipping a coin at that gpa but I’m scared.

Does anyone know where the link like the one posted above is for Berkeley?

Berkeleys has been “under construction” for about 3 years now.

Well that is annoying. So frustrating that Cal is the ONLY UC to offer my major (Social Welfare)… I really want to go to a UC and now I am regretting not looking into different but similar majors at other schools instead of just applying to CSU’s.
