Hello all, i asked this question in a previous thread but was advised to make a new one due to "mechengrs" not seeing that particular thread so heres my question: i've been told it isn't wise to take engineerign statics with engineering physics 2. is this true? is the course load of statics + physics really that bad? any input would be appreciated.

Why would the course load be bad, and why else were you advised against it? Although many people take Statics after Physics E&M, those two aren’t related, and that course load is nothing to be concerned with… your course load throughout your engineering undergrad will be much more demanding than taking those two simultaneously.

alright well thats a relief, and the reason why i was advised gainst it was because a friend of mine took it just this fall semester, he said it was difficult, but he was taking those two along with calc 2 AND geology. he told me physics 2 by itself will be hard, and doesnt recommend statics but in the end its up to me. so yeah just wanted a broader opinion on the matter. i understand teh courseload will be even more hectic so im just gonna go for it now, but a little input from the various knowledgeable members of cc would help me ease my mind about the forthcoming semester.

At my school pretty much every engineer takes them during the same semester, I just finished them both last semester, it was too bad, as long as you understand the right hand rule statics really isnt that difficult.
