statistical software on campus

What statistical software is available on campus to conduct research paper for an undergraduate student, especially for econ and demography major/minor?

and how do you access them besides statistics/econ course accounts?

SAS S+, SAS JMP, Minitab or just excel?

R R R R R R R R R R R R R R R R R R

its open source yo. All the cool kids use it.

just excel (as in MS) is free for students.

Anyone know of any resources to help learn R? I know Statistics 133 teaches some R, but I’m not sure if it would fit in my schedule. Any resources anyone would specifically recommend?

psych 101 is pretty r-intensive if you take in the regular school year. over summer, it is more spss based. (you can def torrent spss and learn how to use it quickly if learning R is not your thing…it wasn’t for me -__-)
