Statistics/Applied Mathematics?

I have always been fascinated with History but given the options (go to grad school or teach high school), I want to add something more practical to my undergrad education. Would it be worth it to bust my chops to get a History and Statistics Dual Major, or would it just be a waste (a Dual Major because if one doesn't work out I still have the other)? I know the job market for statisticians should be pretty good, and my dream job would be working in an MLB front office as a team statistician/player evaluator (a really tough market and perhaps not really a rewarding job salary-wise). I have been looking at Pitt, Notre Dame, Lehigh, and Penn State since they offer Stat as an undergrad, and would appreciate any insight/experiences that you have or any advice that anyone would have for me. Thanks for your time!
