I am going to be a freshman at the University of Chicago next year. The majors I am interested in don't require calculus. I am pretty sure I got a 5 on the AP stat exam and know that I can count it toward my general education requirement in math. My question is whether that counts as one quarter of credit or two quarters. Thanks!!

If I remember correctly, AP stats gives you one elective credit. I’m almost certain it doesn’t give you math credit. And for good reason too, since the test is a joke. If you want to receive credit for math I hope you took AP Calculus of some sort.

It does count as a math credit - as one of your Physical Science Division electives, in fact. I can confirm since I myself got credit for getting a 5 on AP Stats Exam.

Thank you so much! and yes, I took AP calculus as well in high school. I don’t dislike math, it’s just not what I want to study.
