I'm trying to figure out where I should apply. I have this terrible feeling that I'll be rejected to all of them and will have to wait another year (I know, not the end of the world). If anyone has any insight or suggestions they would be much appreciated. Currently I'm looking at: Oregon State, UC Davis, Iowa State, and maybe Penn State. I'm not at a big stats school but have a GPA in the 3.8 range, 790Q 590V GRE, and some undergrad research that might result in a poster presentation at a conference later in the year.

The American Statistical Association lists schools with stat departments or concentrations by state:

The schools in my area (DC) that would supply a good graduate experience include George Mason and Univ. of Maryland. Depending on what area of statistics you are interested in, the ASA office could probably refer you to someone who would be happy to address your situation and provide advice. Statistics is a great profession…good luck to you.

Is this for a PhD or MS degree?

It would be for an MS
