In the class of 2008:

1.8% were children of faculty/staff
6.1% were recruited athletes
13.8% were children of alumni (legacies)
7.6% were international

is it true that being a legacy isn't a factor if you are applying regular decision? That's what an admissions counselor said when I was up there this summer. That sucks if its true bc i didnt want to apply ED because its binding.

I know that's true at upenn, and I'm pretty sure it's true here as well.

I'm sure it counts for something, even if not as much as it does ED...

they usually explicity state it. UPenn makes it pretty darn clear your legacy status means nothing regular.

"Legacies, athletes, VIP’s and other special interest students are encouraged to apply Early Decision."
