Statistics Project. May I take a survey?

Hello people of CC, I am in need of your slight help.

As part of an AP Stats project, I am required to collect and analyze data. The specific data I chose to analyze is SAT scores, Family income, and GPA. I am asking for these factors, please help me and take part of an interesting-to-be survey.

So what are your:
1. SAT score (for those who have taken it)
2. Family income
3. GPA

Thank you for your input.

Didn't take it.

$120,000 - $150,000

4.0

Haven't taken as of yet.

$90,000 - $120,000

4.0

Good luck!

1510

100,000-120,000

3.998 (do i round that up to a 4.0?)

Is your 1510 out of 1600 or 2400?

Not yet taken.

$50,000 - $55,000

4.0

2210/2400.

1680
don't know
3.55 weighted, 3.45 unweighted

didn't take it, aprox $140,000, 3.3 uw 3.7w.

2150-2400 ish on practice SATs
Umm more than $120k but not sure how much
4.0

Um, this is a really bad way to take a survey. Not only are you only sampling the online community on CC, you also are only getting responses from people who want to respond.

Major response bias!

1700

Upper Class

3.4

2100 (hopefully I get my CR/W up this weekend... wish me luck, I need it)
85,000-ish
3.96

dude, i don't think taking a survey on College COnfidential is very representative for your data set haha.

2260
90k
3.89

Wow, all of you have rich parents. Our income is like $50,000.

2380
780k+
2.1

I would watch out for response bias on these surveys, especially if it is online!

omgosh, if you havent taken the SAT yet, then why bother to take the poll? stat test is obviously revolving around the SATs, if u havent taken it then you're not helping whatsoever.

Because the OP specified that if you hadn't taken the SAT yet then you could still answer the question
150k+
3.9

1) 2330 composite
2) $45,000
3) 4.0 uw

And yeah, watch the response bias. That or you'll just end up with a lot of data at one end of the SAT score...and sorry for screwing up your graph :)
