Statistics Q again...

We had about 12% admitted from EA pool (377 people admitted) and I hear that admits from EA make about 25% of the total admits. (<a href="http://matt.mitblogs.com/archives/2005/12/waiting.html%5B/url%5D">http://matt.mitblogs.com/archives/2005/12/waiting.html</a>)
I also heard that typically 300 more people get in MIT from those who are deferred (making the % of admits from EA applicants about 25%)
So out of the 1000 ish admits for the entire freshmen class @ MIT, 60% applied EA?
(who wouldn't EA MIT then?)

thanks!

MIT usually admits 1.5k for a class and aims for around a 1k matriculation #.

Ooh i see. Assuming EA admits will matriculate more than RD acceptees, little less than half of frosh class is made up of EA students...
