Im going to be a senior next year and i'm not taking statistics at high school but at a local community college during the spring..would that be looked at the same way as if i had taken AP stats at my high school? I know its "recommended" you have four years of math in high school, would taking stats at the Community college count as my "fourth year" of math?
thanks

community college courses certainly would count, but why start in the spring?

Hmm. It's not the same as taking AP Stats (AP Stats is considered more difficult, I think), but I think taking it is equivalent to one year in high school- at least that's how it is here in Arizona.

That's a good question to ask if you're applying to public schools that require X number of math courses just to make sure you've met their recommendation. For private schools, though, I bet it's CC Stats is the same as a yearlong course in high school (like AP.)

its a semester long course but counts as a full year of high school credit, im taking it in spring because of rank purposes and i have tennis in the fall and spring, but the spring schedule is a little lighter which allowed me to take stats . Thanks for the help. Any more opinions?

Yes, Stats would count as your "fourth year of math"

It will be viewed as a college level class obviously =P

Though I would say, AP Stats might cover things more in-depth than an introductory semester stats class in college without calculus would.
