Those of you that got accepted to USC, NYU, Cornell, UCB, UCSD, UCLA, what were your stats?

look in the respective college forums... most people have put their stats there

My stats aren't too hot, but I got into 'SC. I believe I'm going this fall.

Gender: Female
Location: Southeast
GPA: 3.4 (unweighted, private prep school education)
SAT: 790 Verbal, 600 Math (yes, yes, I know very poor)
Extracurriculars: Piano (nine years), violin (four years), swimming (since I was like six), editor of school newspaper (best high school newspaper in the state), editor of school literary magazine (one of the best in the country), active member of Amnesty International and multi-cultural club (by "active" I mean I actually participate and do stuff for the clubs, I'm not an application-space-filler), lots of volunteer work at my church (VBS etc), some literary and art awards

Oh, and apparently my family's income is pretty high and my dad went to Southern Cal, too. So if you want to peg me as one of the comparatively dumb students who got in off of being a "rich" legacy kid, you may be partly right.

Oh well. I love USC.

actually you EC's are really impressive and your SAT score really isnt bad at all.

Congrats

:) You're a junior? Best wishes for next year (it gets more and more competitive every year-- it's getting to be ridiculous).

I wish I were as involved as you in the college process when I was a junior. I only decided which colleges I wanted to apply to-- I mean, really even gave the whole college thing a SINGLE genuine thought-- the second month of senior year. I got together all my college research, decided where I wanted to apply, and applied in the space of maybe two months. Two months, maybe on average five hours a week, out of my entire life, I thought about my college future.

I WISH I had spent more time considering what would be the best match for me, and hadn't applied to certain colleges, or THOUGHT I would be accepted to certain colleges.

But, thank God, I got into USC anyway. Didn't start out as my top choice, but it is now.

Anyway, again: great job being so serious about college stuff. Best wishes. :)

Got into USC Marshall.
