For the people who already posted, did you apply for the scholarship directly or through the personal application they sent through email invites?

I did the personal app. and got the 22k as well. The only higher merit award is the Dean's. Does anyone know if people who did the personal application get automatic consideration for it (since it says results will come out in late February)?

I got the personal application through my email but only a few days ago. I decided that i'm really interested in this school but the problem is, is that my school sends my transcript and letters etc but that wouldn't get there till a few weeks. Will that be too late for me to be considered?

BridgetG389, I would strongly encourage to apply anyways. I was faced with similar circumstances last year as an applicant, (I belive I applied on the 15th itself) and I guess it worked out for me since I am currently enrolled at Tulane; last year the university extended the deadline to the 30th of January. But since there is a fee involved this year, I would call the admissions office and see what they think ((800) 873-9283). In any case, I don't know why the admissions office would be sending out e-mails this close to the deadline, if they aren't going to allow the students they have solicited enough time to apply. It seems probable that admissions is having a dearth of applications again this year and might extend the deadline again. HOWEVER, I am in no way an official source, so I would verify to see if you could get your all of your credentials in on time. Tulane was a last minute decision for me, and my decision to apply was probably one of the best decisions I have made.

Shaquita, you have a very good GPA and taking on multiple APs shows a person who is willing to work hard. That's way better than people who are brilliant but slack. IMHO.
