Top 20% is very bad for Harvard (I know it's a magnet school... but still). I don't think you stand much of a chance if you don't have a hook even if you get a 36.

What if your ECs aren't like not "nationally" known, but are odd. Like I do Indian (Subcontinent) Dance for my school and for festivals? I'm sure I could write a paper on it (I'm not Indian).

Also, my HOSA chapter is combining with another chapter, and we are knitting for the nursing homes. I think I could write how knitting for other people led me to unlock a hidden hobby.

You haven't told us much, and what you have told us is a bit under par for Harvard. But then again, you are Hispanic. Your ACT should be at least a 30.

I doubt that you are going to get into Harvard with just a decent GPA, SAT, SAT II's, ACT, and being Hispanic. If that is all you have, then I doubt any ACT, even a perfect score, would mean much. Now with the right application and at least a 30 on the ACT, you'd be looking fine. But if your banking on getting a great score on the ACT to get into Harvard, then your uninformed. Maybe you should tell us more about your EC's and everything. So far, all I know is that you are Hispanic, in the top 20% of your class, and have a decent GPA. We need more info...Anyway, the ACT isn't going to do much of a difference.

See, all my clubs seem trivial, though I'm very involved and work hard.

Your GPA seems low to me. Even with a perfect score on the ACT, you would have a pretty high chance of getting rejected. I would not put any guarantees on Harvard. I think you need outstanding essays and recs to get in.
