Hi I got a letter today from Northeastern asking me if i would like to visit. But i live in California and would not be able to afford visiting. Do you think they would pay for me to go visit? or no?

@rachaell‌ I’m from CA too and I got the same letter. Ohio State gave me a $600 travel grant to visit them, so anything is possible.

My Daughter was accepted EA to CCIS. 2140 SAT, 760 Math II, 690 Bio, 4.0/95 UW GPA, 4.7 WGPA, 3-year varsity volleyball captain, decent CS ECs.

No scholarships (no need based aid either) but they did just send her a valentines day package, so she’s seriously considering it.

For me, the fact that I’ve volunteered at a hospital for two years probably stood out. I spent a lot of time on my essay and had several of my teachers look it over. Other than that, no other “hooks” that I can think of. :slight_smile: I took the SAT IIs in Chem and US History plus the ACT and got a 32 combined (not the best score but my English section was pretty strong).
