okay, yea. goodbye michigan, i'm not getting in poo

You got rejected? Don't be deterred by the stats of the posters here. Many of them are applying to UM as a safety. There are plenty of less qualified students who can get in. All the stats of the people here are leaps and bounds ahead of the bulk of the applicants (hence them receiving rare scholarships).

haven't gotten rejected yet, but i've had multiple dreams about getting in and being really obnoxious with it, facepaint and all. but then again, i had a dream the next night about my crush, and nonaTHATs going to happen...

I'm considering starting a "STATS OF NON OVERACHEIVERS WHO GOT IN" thread. Not that any of the people on this thread are necessarily overacheivers... overqualified, might be a better word. But yeah this thread makes me... uneasy. I have:
a 3.88 GPA (too lazy to calculate my michigan one, but i'd assume it's somewhere around the same)
30 on my ACT
530 (or 520 - i can't remember) on my SAT II math I
620 SAT II U.S. history
670 SAT II bio
690 SAT II lit...
still waiting for a decision, though. this is going to be the death of me :S
i should have sent my app earlier. way earlier.

non over achievers? you have a 3.9 gpa and a 30 on the act, haha...

only at michigan

"only at michigan"
:D LOL... okay, okay, I need to remind myself of that. My class is insanely small, and I'm third from last in rank, so I guess I have myself convinced that my grades aren't good. They really should not rank a class as small as ours. It's horrible for your self esteem. Although my SAT II math could definately use work...

I don't think Michigan considers SATIIs.

Yeah, they don't, but my school is screwed up, and we were advised by the u of m admissions office to take them. Then our principal said, no, we didn't have to. But we did anyway. It's a really long, boring story.

Wow, a real student from indiana....It always confused me how the one state really bordering Michigan (Wisconsin doesn't really count) never sent any kids here. I haven't met a single kid here from Indiana yet. Hope you son comes for some diversity to add.

chibears fan17, He has a bad reaction everytime he hears the name Purdue.
Doesn't want to attend a school smaller than his high school (Rose-Hulman).
Also considering big state u in the next state east of Indiana along with PSU.
