Stats of Admitted Students

They definitely want the CSS Profile?

100% definitely. It is a requirement if you want any form of aid.

i was admitted last friday... :)
sent: the beginning of january
out of state for LSA
UM GPA: 4.0
Rank: 1 uw & 10 w out of 400
SAT: 2220 (v730, m740, w750)
SAT II: 750iic, 680 chem, 650 us history (not so good...heh)
ecs/essays/recs: decent...
competitive public high school with aps and honors and all that jazz

i would love to go to michigan.... if only there wasn't such a hefty price tag. :(

I emailed UMich because my counselor actually never even heard of CSS Profile until I told her Northwestern wanted it from me. Do all instate accepted students know to fill it out? Because I have a very good teacher friend who has a daughter who went there and they had to take out a PLUS loan to cover practically everything--yet UMich claims on their website to cover 100% instaters' need. So is it just a "whoever knows to send it in" kind of thing? And is the Profile only used for need-based aid, or is it for "scholarships" that only go to the 34+ ACT scores and 2200+ SAT scores with a dozen AP courses?

Better yet, I have my Profile print out that I am making updates to so i can make copies and send to my two colleges. Can I just send a copy to UMich without having to pay the $18 ? Will they accept it that way without it coming directly from CollegeBoard?

Go to the U of M website and do a little research before you keep asking about the CSS Profile. It specifically states that all incoming freshman MUST submit the CSS Profile to apply for need-based University grants and scholarships.

OUT OF STATE

Yeah, I found out already. Thanks.

still waiting since nov 22.... =(

It says a decisions is arriving by mail on Wolverine Access and a lot of you seem to have found out what you got from WA. Does this mean I got rejected?

I think anyone who gets accepted is notified of the actual acceptance online, and people who are deferred/rejected find out through mail only.

Did anybody get status check e-mail from WA? Still waiting.....;(

man, this is getting me really nervous
