sorry, i meant my admittance package, which had my admittance letter, and some information about campus day, etc.

i read on lsa that they'll start sending out scholarship letters in december, so maybe we'll hear something by january? i'm looking to snag a nice $20,000 LSA scholarship.

But yeah, sorry, this totally digressed from the thread topic. Anyone else been accepted?

Application Timing + Michigan GPA

"Unfortunately, I didn't have much knowledge about rolling admissions before I came to this site so I was lazily thinking I could wait till February 1rst. However, now im trying to get my application out by mid movember. Also, I understand that michigan recalculates GPA so if I have all A's and A-'s, (UW 3.96) will this become a 4.0? Also, if I have this 4.0, a class rank of top 1%, SAT 2150 SAT II 800 790, how bad will my essays/recs have to be to not get in. Also, does my submitting mid-november seriously detract from my chances of admittance? Also, I'm out of state (from New Hampshire). I've been thinking i have about a 70% chance of getting in (match safety), how far off am I in this prediction?"

I just want to say that I'm really excited to see stats like these coming in from the class of 2010. I hope to see you guys around South Quad next year and you're doing something great by adding to the prestige of the University of Michigan.

S admitted today on WA.
OOS (NY) SAT new 2150 about 3.9 or so recalculated GPA.7 AP's(4 in progress).File complete on 10/17,submitted 9/29.HS slooow on transcript.Kineisiology (Sport Management)major. He'd rather go somewhere south, and warm but he's really happy right now!

how do u know the date the application is complete?
Would that be the latest date on the credentials list?
What does the submitted date mean online when mine says october 6th, but things were recieved the 13th - the 29th?

WA doesn't show date complete - but if you go there every day, it's the date it finally says "complete." In my case there was a week in between the latest credential received and the "complete" designation. Supposedly, they start processing from the time all the credentials are in, though. Date submitted is the actual date the main part of your app was submitted plus a few days to log it in.

I have a uw gpa of 3.6 4 aps, 6 honors, an 27 act in state at an excellent public school and i got deferred. I also had alot of community service and sports extraciriculars. Are you a minority?

My application was recieved middle of september and i found out near the end of october. Do you know what the chances are for students who become deferred?

In state
3.93 UM GPA with honors classes
28 ACT
Above average EC's
All-State wrestler
All-League & All-County football

Recruited to walk-on for a sport (would prefer not to name) and I'm not sure how much applications help the coach can/did provide for non-scholarship athletes.

got deferred today, something like a 3.25 Michigan gpa i think that is the lowest it could've been, im not sure which classes they counted, i had a 3.765 weighted, and a 1260 math/reading on the new sat. My dad is also allum and i went to one of their summer camps for a month, kinda disappointed but i knew i'd be deferred... just hoping now that i get into University of Wisconsin-Madison.
