sorry, i meant my admittance package, which had my admittance letter, and some information about campus day, etc.

i read on lsa that they'll start sending out scholarship letters in december, so maybe we'll hear something by january? i'm looking to snag a nice $20,000 LSA scholarship.

But yeah, sorry, this totally digressed from the thread topic. Anyone else been accepted?

Application Timing + Michigan GPA

"Unfortunately, I didn't have much knowledge about rolling admissions before I came to this site so I was lazily thinking I could wait till February 1rst. However, now im trying to get my application out by mid movember. Also, I understand that michigan recalculates GPA so if I have all A's and A-'s, (UW 3.96) will this become a 4.0? Also, if I have this 4.0, a class rank of top 1%, SAT 2150 SAT II 800 790, how bad will my essays/recs have to be to not get in. Also, does my submitting mid-november seriously detract from my chances of admittance? Also, I'm out of state (from New Hampshire). I've been thinking i have about a 70% chance of getting in (match safety), how far off am I in this prediction?"

I just want to say that I'm really excited to see stats like these coming in from the class of 2010. I hope to see you guys around South Quad next year and you're doing something great by adding to the prestige of the University of Michigan.

If my D learned of her acceptance at LSA via e-mail the day before Thanksgiving, when should she expect her paper admissions package?

are you kidding me? you got in with a 3.1 and a 1700........... and out of state?????? no freaking way, that must be a joke.

if that is true it makes my 3.1 GPA 1910 SAT feel a lot better.

theres always special circumstances that are possible... athlete, URM, etc etc.

S admitted today on WA.

how do u know the date the application is complete?
Would that be the latest date on the credentials list?
What does the submitted date mean online when mine says october 6th, but things were recieved the 13th - the 29th?

WA doesn't show date complete - but if you go there every day, it's the date it finally says "complete." In my case there was a week in between the latest credential received and the "complete" designation. Supposedly, they start processing from the time all the credentials are in, though. Date submitted is the actual date the main part of your app was submitted plus a few days to log it in.
