man you guys are lucky. I applied in September and the admissions office said I would hear from UofM in another 4 weeks

Are they releasing any more decisions before Christmas? It would be a really nice Christmas gift. My application was complete in the middle of October, I am getting a little anxious.

Does anyone think that they may be waiting for my D's SAT II scores? She doesn't take them until January - her other scores were quite strong (SAT and ACT)...could this be why we haven't heard yet? Grasping at straws :)

I doubt it. They don't require the SAT II's so I don't think they would wait for their arrival. They're probably just evaluating lots of applications at this time, which is causing the long wait for your daughter. By the way, good luck! :)

any chance more decisions are coming out before christmas?

I would assume they would send decisions out all this week up until thursday. When I called they said they would continue everything running as normal until friday when they end for vacation and they will only be reviewing over vacation not sending anything out.

Applied early September, heard back late September. Just found this site though.

I got the Regents Merit Scholorship a few weeks ago. Not sure how rare that is?

just got admitted Yale EA, U-M will have to give me a good scholarship for me to consider it (I'm OOS, so Yale and U-M are almost the same price). I was admitted on 11/23...how long does it usually take to hear back about scholarships?

I still haven't heard yet!!

My application materials were all received on 10/20/05 except for SATs which they list as receiving on 11/11/05...

Getting paranoid!!!!!!!!!!

-A to the sparagus

After 12 minutes on hold (GASP- the phone bill!!) - I spoke to a very nice woman in admissions who said that they WILL be posting decisions all this week, and that they are posted throughout the day - not just at one certain time during the day. So, while that answers my questions, it will not save me from incessantly checking the online status! Hope that helps...

Just got in elsewhere ED and had to withdraw the app to Michigan. I think there is a definite lag in hearing from Michigan about now, not only because of the holidays, but because they are waiting to hear from people who got accepted to their ED schools in order to get a better feeling for how many they can admit. Last year on this board it seemed like people started hearing again after the second week of January or thereabouts.
