Hi! I’m currently a high school sophomore, and BU is my first choice college. I was wondering what the high school GPAs, SAT scores, EC’s, and such were for students who currently attend BU or who have been accepted for next year. Please and thanks! (:

Decisions for Regular Decision for this year are not out yet, but you could check out the Early Decision results thread for stats for this year’s ED applicants.

I bumped the thread for you!

Hey,

So I’m a current BU student (and loving it here) and I think I can fill you in on the stats of a typical BU student. People are mostly within the top 20% or less of their class, have SAT scores higher than 1800, and have a GPA higher than 3.5 – but how I would really describe the typical BU student is this. They took many AP and honors classes, did pretty well, and were decently involved in activities in and out of high school. It’s pretty much the kids in high school who did really well but either didn’t get accepted to Ivys/ top tiers or chose not to attend. I fall into the former category, as I know many of us at BU do. And honestly, I have yet to meet a student at BU who I wouldn’t call smart.

BU also has a new honors college. send me a message if you’d like some info on that :D

Thank you! I’m anticipating about a 3.4 GPA by the time I graduate, because I messed up a bit freshman year. However, I have great volunteer hours, a few extracurriculars, I started a club at my school, and have taken as many honors and AP’s as I could handle. If I keep following my course plan, I will have 11 AP’s by the time I graduate (out of 18 offered). I haven’t taken the SAT yet, but I got a 210 on my PSAT this year. Do you think this will give me a chance at getting accepted?
