Can anyone volunteer their stats if they are in or have been accepted to a multiple degree program? I'd like to know where to aim to make it. If you could, could you include SATs, ECs, GPA, courses, and volunteer work?

Stats of three people I know who are currently in combined programs:

ACT 36, SAT 2340 GPA 3.97-top 1%, Math II 800, Chem 790

ACT 35, SAT 2380, GPA 3.9+ top 1%, Math II 800, Chem 790

SAT 2370,GPA 3.93, top 1% Math II 780, Chem 800

BTW all three were rejected by Brown PLME and one did not even get an interview at NU HPME.

Just to provide a perspective - I’m a current PLME student. Remember that these programs are looking for far more than perfect scores.

SAT 2300, GPA 3.92, top 10%, Math II 780, BioM 760.

Bruno what were your ECs/Hooks? Research/medical/sports/volunteering?

Bruno, how many APs did you have? What were your scores on the exams? Did you have any one special EC that made you stand out? Do you have any recommendations for becoming an intern, volunteering, or shadowing at a hospital?

ECs: GSA, school theater, orchestra/music

I had some research experience - one summer’s worth in an immunology lab.

APs:
Spanish Lang: 5
Calc BC: 5
Bio: 5
(Took English Lit and Music Theory my senior year, got 4 and 5)

Recommendations: it’s easy to volunteer at a hospital. Most hospitals have a program. Just do your research. For shadowing, you need to contact the specific doctor. Same thing for lab research - just send out a lot of emails showing interest.

^ Are you by any chance a URM/have any hooks (being homosexual can serve as a hook)?

I’m not an URM, or anywhere close. I am queer, but this was not stated in any way on my application, nor did I discuss my sexuality in my essays. It’s not a hook at Brown, by any means.
