Stats of rejected

Does anyone have any stats on people who were rejected?

Not sure many people have been rejected yet, might ask again later...

I was waitlisted/rejected my freshman year.

OOS.
2010 SAT, 3.8 (3.65 unweighted) weighted GPA (not sure about Michigan GPA).
Went to top public school in NJ.

wow, those are some pretty decent stats to get rejected. did you apply late?

oh, maybe it was uw gpa?

I applied in October, but for some stupid reason my application wasn't complete until November 18th (I went to two different high schools, and apparently UM wanted the transcript from my first high school to be sent directly from them). Yeah it really ****ed me off because I know quite a few people with lower SAT's and comparable GPA's that got in (some of which are now in the B-school). Life is cruel, but whatever. Could be worse.

What HS Nick?

Instate cousin last year :

3.5 (barely)
ACT 24 (after 3 times)

band x4
track x3
alumni relations : bro goes there

Any OOStaters this year?

UM likes to give you a slow and painful rejection. They don't reject people this early. Most are rejected/waitlisted in April/May/June.

so there are a lot of deferrals around this time? what percentage of deferred students get accepted later on?

about 20-30%. The rumor is that about 40-50% get in, but I really don't think that's true.

mighty, did you transfer then or what?

He transferred in from Penn State.
