I will do honors if i go to michigan. I'm still waiting till april from my other schools...my main reason for not going to mich would be location and size-not eastcoast city, like all of my other schools, and huge-although not as big as texas, where my mom went.
I havent heard anything badabout honors, though.

Thanks. I think my only reasons for not going to michigan are the name and the student body. I have nothing wrong with the size, but there's no denying the student body is not as high quality as an ivy league school or Stanford/MIT. I know i can still learn from michigan students, im just wondering how much compared to other elite universities...

Alita, Ann Arbor transcends location. You should visit it sometime. It really has the feel of a global village. As for the size, Michigan is huge, but it hides its numbers well thanks to its huge faculty and its even huger campus. Columbia has 18,000 students crammed in a 50 acre campus. Penn has over 20,000 students crammed in 250 acres. Michigan is double their size in terms of students (39,000), but its campus is extremely spreadout (3,000 acres).

Chibearsfan, you will learn as much from Michigan students as you would from Ivy League students. As for the name, if you want to impress the relatively uneducated masses, go for the Ivies, but if you only care about what academics and corporate recruiters think, Michigan will serve you well.

In the end, I only recommend Michigan if you visit it and really like it. You should go for the school that fits your personality and your needs the best.
