does anyone know what percent of ED deferred applicants are admitted RD for princeton? (in the past few years)

I think it is slightly higher than the RD, somewhere around 14%? I don't know. That is the number that has been thrown around from time to time, but it does vary. So, I'd say anywhere from 9%-19% or something. Not, too good, but I think they notice that you still are interested if you keep in touch.

jacquesier: By keeping in touch, do you mean sending the school updates to your application? Do you think they actually read them and place them in your file? I am hoping they do, but even if 25% of the applicants send updates, that is a lot of additional reading and paperwork to file.

anybody else?

For ED, what percentage of applicants were actually rejected? Anyone know that number?

I was surprised I was deferred and not outright rejected. I wonder how many applicants are told of a deferral but application actually goes in to the reject pile and never looked at again. You know, kind of a polite rejection as to not make any legacies upset or get on bad side of g.c. at high school.

I sent in a few updates and these were reported as added to my application

^^ Really? As reported to you in an email?

If you get deferred there is a very small chance of acceptance.

There is a very small chance of acceptance anyway. 5-7% for RD applicants, and a couple of percent higher for deferred ED. Either way, it's "low."
